Marketing site redesign for industrial fan manufacturer
About the project
Our friends at MeadsDurket specialize in advertising and traditional graphic design. We partnered with them to take their work with MacroAir digital. We started with understanding the current site and the goals of the redesign (simpler, flatter, more modern). We moved into information architecture, including a content audit and mapping with before and after site maps. Once we had an alignment at that level, we moved into responsive wireframes. Next, we developed a full-fidelity, polished, hi-tech visual design that brought airiness, precision, professionalism, polish, and trust into their online presence.
We focused on large imagery that gave room to showcase these beautifully designed products and to present expansive, airy environments. All layout, spacing, and type sizing were mathematically determined (based on the Golden Ratio), then extended to address varying screen sizes, and rigorously applied throughout the design with almost no exceptions. This kept the design technical and exact – fitting with the brand – while also assuring it was beautiful to look at and efficient to develop. To ensure a faithful execution, we also developed a robust styleguide.
We teamed up with MeadsDurket to give MacroAir's site a modern makeover. See how we made industrial fans look sleek and high-tech online.
