UX for stem cell analysis

Mockup of person with pen and paper at desk, reviewing their HPSC scorecard on a desktop screen

About the project

LifeTechnologies (and later ThermoFisher, post-acquisition) needed an interface to visualize the results of their sophisticated stem cell analyses. The end user might be a busy tech quickly scanning many results, or a highly-specialized medical researcher digging deep into the statistics. We were brought in twice, by different agencies (Digitaria/Mirum, then later Departure) to handle the UX. We came up with a sophisticated, customizable display that made a lot of information and functionality available when needed, but togglable or hidden when not.
